Skala Maries, Villages of Thasos
Skala Maries is a coastal village at the southwestern part of Thassos and it is the harbor of the mountainous village called Maries. It is 30 km far from Limenas and it has a population of 400 people. Its residents were chiefly fishers and sailors. Nowadays, they are mainly occupied with tourism.
Skala Maries has three beaches: Platana, a beach in the village and Atspa. The village is famous for its fresh fish!
